Your Personal AI Assistant: Set Up, Explained, Ready to Use

An assistant that pre-sorts your email, remembers birthdays, files invoices and answers you on WhatsApp: on your device, with your data, no subscription required. The software is free. What’s missing is someone to set it up properly. That is what we do.

Fixed price. Remote across Germany and the Netherlands, on-site in the Lower Rhine/Nijmegen region. In English, German or Dutch.

Who this is for

You have read about OpenClaw or Hermes (maybe in our comparison) and want one, but not the three weekends of terminal commands, servers and API keys. Or you started yourself and it will not run reliably. Both are normal: the software is free, the setup is work.

What you get

We set up an open-source assistant for you (OpenClaw or Hermes Agent; we recommend based on your use case) and hand it over only when it runs:

  • Reachable where you already type: WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal. You message your assistant like any contact.
  • Ready-made routines of your choice. For example: a morning email summary, reminders, invoice filing, weekly planning, research tasks.
  • Scoped permissions instead of full access. The assistant sees only the folders and accounts you release. Your passwords are always typed by you. We never see or store them.
  • A one-hour walkthrough for you (and your family, if you like): using it, adding tasks, the off switch.
  • Short written documentation: what runs where, what costs money ongoing, whom to call when something sticks.

Ongoing costs go to third parties, not to us, and we lay them out beforehand: server rental at roughly €5–10/month or a one-time mini PC (from about €200), plus AI model costs of typically €5–20/month depending on use. If maximum privacy is the point, a local model on suitable hardware removes the model costs entirely.

And afterwards? The first 14 days of aftercare are included. If you need help later, we bill honestly by time: €95/hour, in 15-minute steps.

How it works

  1. Intro call (free, 20 min). What should the assistant do? What device is available? We will also tell you honestly if it is not worth it in your case.
  2. Setup (remote or on-site). Usually one 2–3 hour session. Passwords are typed by you, and only you.
  3. Handover. Your routines run, you have tried them yourself, the documentation is in your hands.
  4. 14 days of aftercare. If anything we set up sticks in the first two weeks, we fix it at no cost.

Why your own assistant instead of a cloud subscription?

Commercial agents like Grok Bot are convenient and cost money forever (bundled from about $200/month), while your credentials and files sit in the vendor’s cloud. A self-hosted assistant costs one setup and cents afterwards, and your data stays in your home. The full reasoning is in our three-way comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a new computer?

No. For the Start package your current Mac or PC is enough. Only an assistant that must be reachable around the clock needs a device that stays on: that is what the Carefree package is for.

Do you get my passwords?

No, as a matter of principle. Anything that asks for a password, you type yourself. That is our working rule, not a favor.

What if it breaks after a month?

First 14 days: free. After that we help by the hour (€95). No obligation: the documentation is written so that a tech-savvy friend can take over.

OpenClaw or Hermes: which do you install?

Both; the recommendation depends on your use case. Rule of thumb from our comparison: OpenClaw for channel variety and the biggest ecosystem, Hermes for recurring tasks that should keep improving.

I don't live nearby.

Almost everything works remotely: screen sharing, with your hands on the keyboard. On-site visits cover the Lower Rhine/Nijmegen region.
